Underwater Life – My Awesome First Experience With Scuba Diving Cancun
Underwater Life – My Awesome First Experience With Scuba Diving Cancun
The adventure began when my family and I arrived at one of Cancun’s beautiful beaches. Cancun is a coastal city situated in the extremely popular vacation destination known as The Mexican Caribbean. This is an area with beautiful blue sky, crystal clear sea and lovely white sand. The same day after we’ve been trained in scuba diving, we started our diving in cancun. We were taught some techniques such as how to speak using signals, the most important part they teach us how to breathe with a regulator and underwater.
After we have learned all the right diving techniques, safety measures and rules, we headed out to the ocean on a boat. I had a lot of things on my mind as we made the journey to the ocean. What is the seabed like? Will we encounter sharks? What kind of sea creatures will we find there? Will I make it back safe? These were some of the questions that were racing through my mind.
I became extremely frightened when our boat stopped so that we can commence our diving session. I harnessed the scuba equipment onto my back, wore my scuba dive mask and grabbed my regulator. I was hesitant at first, but I finally mustered enough courage to jump into the ocean.
When I went underwater, it was like WOW! The view was really spectacular. The color around me changed all of a sudden and everything turned bluish-green. It was a totally different world underwater, and was nothing like the world above. There was total silence and peace and the only sound I heard was my breathing and my own heartbeat.
When we reached the sand, I looked up and greatly appreciated how wonderful it was being at that location at that specific point in time. We saw lots of coral, exotic fish of various colors and sizes, clown barracuda, beta fish, gigantic reefs, starfish, jelly fish, giant cucumber, and some fish that I do not even know their names. I was thrilled seeing these sea creatures swimming all around me.
After Scuba Diving for some time, we went to another part of the expansive ocean to continue our scuba diving activity. As we explored other parts of the reefs, my ears began to hurt. As instructed by my diving trainer, I regularly equalized my ears until the hurt subsided. I also had some breathing problems (breathing via the mouth is not a typical reflex) but the crew and the instructors made everything easy for me.
After a while of 45 min of diving, our instructor signaled that we leave the water. I was so engrossed and really wanted to remain in the water longer. I really liked the experience and decided that I would do it regularly, of course with Scuba Diving Cancun
The Biggest Life Lesson I learned from Scuba Diving
Even though I liked nature, I cared little about what we were doing to protect wildlife and the environment. However, after I started scuba diving and experienced the wealth of underwater life as well as corals which exist within the oceans, I began to see things differently. I began to take note of how we are harming the oceans, and started doing what I could to safeguard it.
This is a letter from a dear costumer that wanted to collaborate with Scuba Diving Cancun Blog and show how much impact scuba diving for first time had on him and his family and the way they behave in relation with our mother nature, we keep his name private as he requested and thanks him for collaborating with us.
