The Art of Diving
I clearly remember my first dive, I was really excited and to be quiet honest, I never though it will have the impact it had in my life.
For me, to dive is to visit another world. I know, this sounds like an over reaction to a nice experience, but I truly believe this is a very objective perception. You will be immersed in an environment that instead of air has water, this fact alone has a big impact on the way you perceive your existance.
Just picture this: Experiencing a no gravity sensation, while moving in a silent world where the light travels at a slower speed than it does on air so colors are different and objects look bigger and closer; the living creatures are so different in shape, interaction and behavior that you will be amaze by its beauty. Instead of walking, you will be paddling to move around, embraced by Nature. Do I need to say more? To dive is to live the experience of your life and it has the elements of an art: It involves beauty, passion and technique.
But this wonderful and somewhat mystic opportunity comes with responsabilities.
When you scubadive you normally do it with a buddy, so you have the responsability to take care of him or her, but also last and not least, remember please about leaving things the same way you found them or better if you can. This means that you have to respect the environment and all kind of living creatures such as fish and plants, reefs and the water itself.
