Hi, my name is Arturo Bolaños (that's Bolagnos, as in bologna) and I am a certified scuba and snorkeling master instructor in Cancun...

If you enjoy, as I do, watching those extraordinary cable series where they show the amazing multicolored reefs with all sorts of sea life, then you probably will love to discover the incredible pleasure of snorkeling right there, at the same conditions and where these guys shoot their footage... and then, have the rest of the day for whatever other fun or relaxing activities you've planned.

Now, here is the secret!

Snorkeling early in the morning in the amazing reefs and crystaline aquamarine waters of Cancun is a bliss in disguise!

It just couldn't get any easier!

Why? Gee, I thought you'll never ask! You see, just around the corner of my little snorkeling operation in the beach, just at 60 feet off the beach-line, you'll find one of the most beautiful reefs in Cancun, northeast of the Yucatan peninsula.

This means that... we don't even have to take a boat!

We get there by a quite short swimming! So forget of sea sick and unless you are for surfing -you said you wanna go snorkeling, dontcha'?- dont' worry for big waves.

Now, here's the plan:

We will begin the adventure as soon as the sun comes up. Let's say we meet at the beach at 8:00 AM... The best conditions for snorkeling are in the morning, when the temperature is just right and there are not that many waves; the water, at that moment, resembles a marveouls peaceful pool with crystal clear aquamarine tones. Plus, beginning this early you can have the rest of the day for other activities...
Next, I'll help you with the snorkeling gear -the rental is included in the cost, could you believe it?- and if you have never snorkeled before, I'll introduce you to the spirit-lifting experience of snorkeling with a concise but comprehensive briefing. No techie stuff, no mumbo-jumbo, just plain good ol' English. This would take us 10 minutes, tops!
Then, we shall begin an odyssey into the wonders of Mother Nature. Prepare to be amazed! So many colors, so many life forms, so many creativity right there, within your reach!

45 minutes later, once back to the beach, you will take a shower of fresh water, with a smile and a bundle of wonderful stories to tell the folks back home! And for an optional small fee, we can take pics of yourself and your submarine findings and email them back to you!
